Biography
Jeff is a lifelong resident of Denton County. He graduated from Baylor with honors and earned his law degree from Baylor Law School, where he was a member of the Order of Barristers.
Although he practices in Denton, Dallas and surrounding counties, Jeff's litigation docket has taken him all over Texas and as far north as Chicago. Over his 30-plus years in practice Jeff helped hundreds of clients navigate a wide variety of disputes. He has litigated personal injury, mass tort, medical malpractice, real estate, probate, business, and construction cases on both sides of the docket. His 2009 results are a great example of his diverse experience: "Top Texas Verdicts" reported his jury award in Hill v. Anderson as Texas' second largest business law verdict that year; a few months later he won a jury trial with less than $10,000 in controversy. Jeff once even successfully defended a person accused of murder.
Jeff is a member and past president of the Denton County Bar Association. He has served as an adjunct professor of History and Government at Texas Woman's University where, among other things, he taught a class in dispute resolution.
Jeff and his wife, Michelle are members of First Methodist Church of Denton. He serves on several boards and in other leadership positions in his community. Jeff also regularly volunteers his time to mediate pro bono for Denton County's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
